Fall from grace in Lowell
After a bit of research, I found out that this church was Nuestra Señora Del Carmen, formerly St. Jean-Baptiste. According to this link, the church had a long history as part of Lowell’s vibrant Franco-American community, and changed parish names in 1993 or so, only to be sold by the Catholic Archdiocese in 2006.
